Loren Shanklin Fleshman is a founding partner at Shanklin Sosa Injury Law. She earned her Juris Doctor and Graduate Diploma in Civil Law from Louisiana State University in 2010 and is licensed to practice in all Louisiana state and federal courts, as well as the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Before attending law school, Loren earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from LSU and taught middle school in East Baton Rouge Parish.

The day after being sworn in, Loren examined her first witness in a wrongful death trial, helping secure a multi‑million‑dollar judgment—a defining moment that continues to drive her passion for advocating for those in need. Over her career, she has secured millions of dollars in settlements and judgments for clients across Louisiana.

Loren is an active leader in the legal community. Since 2012, she has been elected by her peers to serve in various leadership roles within the Baton Rouge Bar Association and the Louisiana State Bar Association. In 2018, Loren received the prestigious Outstanding Young Lawyer of Louisiana Award. In 2026, Loren was elected by her fellow attorneys to lead the Baton Rouge Bar Association as its President. She is also a frequent presenter at continuing legal education (CLE) programs throughout the state.

Outside the courtroom, Loren is a devoted wife and mother of three. She is actively involved in her church and values time spent with family. She brings to her work the heart of a teacher and the dedication of a community servant, committed to helping others every day.

Alicia M. Sosa, Attorney

Alicia M. Sosa is a Louisiana personal injury attorney dedicated to representing individuals and families throughout Louisiana who have been injured due to the negligence of others. As a Louisiana personal injury lawyer, Alicia has built her career on providing thoughtful advocacy and trusted guidance to clients facing some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

Alicia graduated from Louisiana State University in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Political Science and a minor in Spanish. She went on to earn both her Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Civil Law from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center in Baton Rouge in 2011. While in law school, Alicia graduated with honors for completing more than 100 hours of pro bono legal service and was an active member of the Public Interest Law Society and the Legal Association of Women.

During her time in law school, Alicia gained valuable experience working in public service and government. Following the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in 2010, she clerked with the Louisiana Oil Spill Coordinator’s Office. She also interned with the Governor’s Office and with Judge Welch at the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeals, where she developed a strong foundation in legal research, advocacy, and public policy.

After being admitted to practice law in Louisiana in 2011, Alicia dedicated her career to personal injury law. As a Baton Rouge car accident lawyer and Louisiana personal injury attorney, she focuses her practice on representing clients involved in automobile accidents, trucking accidents, pedestrian accidents, and other serious injury cases. Alicia approaches every case with careful attention to detail and a strong commitment to helping injured clients pursue the compensation they deserve.

Alicia currently serves on the Board of Governors for the Louisiana Association for Justice for the 2026–2027 term, reflecting her commitment to protecting the rights of injured people across Louisiana and advancing the practice of personal injury law.

Fluent in Spanish, Alicia is proud of her Hispanic heritage. Her father is from Honduras and her mother is from Cuba. She values the opportunity to assist both English- and Spanish-speaking clients and to serve the diverse communities of Louisiana. Outside of her legal practice, Alicia enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
