Attorney & Co-Founder

Loren Shanklin Fleshman is a founding partner at Shanklin Sosa Injury Law. She earned her Juris Doctor and Graduate Diploma in Civil Law from Louisiana State University in 2010 and is licensed to practice in all Louisiana state and federal courts, as well as the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Before attending law school, Loren earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from LSU and taught middle school in East Baton Rouge Parish.

The day after being sworn in, Loren examined her first witness in a wrongful death trial, helping secure a multi‑million‑dollar judgment—a defining moment that continues to drive her passion for advocating for those in need. Over her career, she has secured millions of dollars in settlements and judgments for clients across Louisiana.

Loren is an active leader in the legal community. Since 2012, she has been elected by her peers to serve in various leadership roles within the Baton Rouge Bar Association and the Louisiana State Bar Association. In 2018, Loren received the prestigious Outstanding Young Lawyer of Louisiana Award. In 2026, Loren was elected by her fellow attorneys to lead the Baton Rouge Bar Association as its President. She is also a frequent presenter at continuing legal education (CLE) programs throughout the state.

Outside the courtroom, Loren is a devoted wife and mother of three. She is actively involved in her church and values time spent with family. She brings to her work the heart of a teacher and the dedication of a community servant, committed to helping others every day.
